Andrea Jacobs-Stannard

Andrea (Andi) Jacobs-Stannard, MPH, MMSc, PA-C, is a board-certified physician associate with over 20 years of experience. She provides expert care to patients at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology Specialists in Trumbull, Westport, and Derby, Connecticut.

Andi treats a wide range of skin conditions, with a special focus on acne, eczema, hair loss, psoriasis, and skin cancer. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Rochester, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and a Master of Medical Science from the Yale University School of Medicine Physician Associate Program.

Beyond clinical practice, Andi is passionate about medical education. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, where she mentors PA and medical students in their Primary Care and Dermatology rotations. She also serves as the course director and lecturer for the Dermatology module in Yale’s PA Program.

In addition to dermatology, Andi has extensive experience in hospital medicine. Since 2004, she has worked as a Hospitalist at Yale New Haven Hospital and has a background in urgent care and emergency medicine, giving her a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Outside of work, Andi is active in community health education, volunteering with Yale’s Discovery to Cure program and the Special Olympics. She enjoys traveling, baking, beekeeping, hiking with her dog, and swimming. A dedicated mother, she is a strong supporter of her children’s ice hockey and lacrosse teams.
